MOUNT CLEMENS SUBDIVISION FOOTNOTES
1.1 CLEARANCES
WEST DETROIT - Eastward trains may leave without clearance. Train movements on the Mount Clemens Subdivision entering the Holly Subdivision at Milwaukee Jct. are not required to obtain clearance at Milwaukee Jct. but must obtain permission to enter the Holly Subdivision from the Train Dispatcher.
MILWAUKEE JCT. - All westward trains to the Shore Line Subdivision must obtain clearance.
FOREST LAWN - All eastward trains must obtain a clearance.
TAPPAN - Westward trains leaving Tunnel Yard must obtain a clearance at Tappan.
1.2 TRAIN REGISTER MODIFICATIONS MILWAUKEE JCT. - *Register station for trains originating and terminating. Tunnel Yard - *Standard Clock and Bulletins only.
1.3 ABS AND CTC SPECIAL FEATURES BLOCK AND INTERLOCKING SIGNALS - The following Dwarf Signals are used in lieu of High Mast Signals to display GTOR Rules 281, 285 and 291, respectively.
Mileage 1.8 Signal 18, Eastward.
Mileage 1.8, Signal 17, Westward.
2.1 Security locks now replace GTW switch locks on Main Track switch stands between mileage 11.8 and mileage 50.0.
2..2 Mileage 0.7 hand rails on bridge, have been removed.
2.3 MILWAUKEE JCT. - Movements receiving STOP signal indication at signals 44 or 45 located at Mileage 4.4 will be governed by GTOR Rule 509.
All movements must obtain permission from Train Dispatcher Pontiac Yard to enter on and must report clear of the Main Track between mileage 0.0 and mileage 4.6, High Line 3 track, and Tunnel Track.
GTOR Rule 514 will govern movements entering between signals in this territory after permission has been obtained from Train Dispatcher Pontiac Yard.
Conrail Operators Milwaukee Jct., Beaubien Street and West Detroit must receive permission from Train Dispatcher Pontiac Yard to authorize movement to pass a stop signal or before lining movements into the territory between Milwaukee Jct. and West Detroit.
Permission to enter or report clear may be relayed through the GT Operator Milwaukee Jct.
Mileage 5.7, East Yard - the new connection between the Conrail Main Track and the GTW Long Interchange Track located just west of Conant Avenue, is placed in service.
The switch at the west end of the connection on the Conrail Main Track is a power switch within the Conrail, Milwaukee Junction Interlocking limits, controlled by the Conrail Operator, Milwaukee Junction.
The switch at the east end of the connection on the Long Interchange Track is a spring switch with the normal position lined for the Long Interchange Track. A dwarf signal has been installed at the switch to protect facing point movements. Restricting signal indication denotes switch properly lined, movement may proceed at restricted speed. Movements receiving stop signal will be governed by Special Instruction 1.4.
2.4 MOUNT CLEMENS - All movements on Cooper's lead over Church Street, mileage 21.7 must be protected by a member of the crew.
Employees must not pass the restricted clearance sign located 50 feet north end of Ford Motor Company Vinyl Plant, Track No. 1.
Railroad gates at Selfridge Field are equipped with switch lock and are to be closed and locked when not in use. Enginemen and trainmen, when entering Selfridge Field, can expect to find this gate in a closed position and locked.
2.5 TAPPAN - Trains operating east of Tappan will be governed by Flint Subdivision Footnotes.
2.6 JOINT MAIN TRACK
WEST DETROIT to BEAUBIEN ST. - Main Track joint with N&W. GTW timetable and rules govern.
