Notes: This Yard Job is being shoved onto the Main off of "The Pass", thelong passing siding which extends from this point south to CC87.2, after
having work industries south of Plymouth. It's destination is the East
Yard.
When certain trains are being shoved, the conductor or brakeman (in this
case, both) ride the porch of the cab to inform the engineer of the
location and signal indications (on Manifests and Q trains on CSX, the
employee hangs onto the grab irons of the leading car being shoved).
Local trains and Yard Jobs are the last instance where the caboose is used
in daily on railroads in The USA.
SAS Main Street is in the foreground.
